Faulty goods: reject, repair or replace – free template (Ireland)

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Within 30 days you can reject faulty goods for a full refund. Later you can ask for repair or replacement, and if that fails, a price reduction or refund. A fault within one year is presumed to have been there at delivery. The CCPC can help.

Faulty goods: Dishwasher, model DW-60

Dear Sir or Madam,

On 6 October 2026 I received Dishwasher, model DW-60 for €549.00. The goods do not conform to the contract:

The dishwasher stops mid-cycle and shows error E24.

I am exercising my short-term right to reject the goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and ask for a full refund. Please arrange collection or tell me how to return them at your cost.

Please reply within 14 days. Otherwise I will contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) or use the Small Claims procedure.

Yours faithfully,

Aoife Byrne
