Questions

Is this template really free?

Yes. Pflichtblatt is free, has no ads, no sign-up and no tracking. Everything you type stays in your browser; the PDF is created on your device.

What does “VAT registration” mean?

You must register for VAT with Revenue if your turnover is above €85,000 a year for goods or €42,500 for services. An Irish VAT number starts with IE. The standard rate is 23%.

What does “Companies Registration Office (CRO)” mean?

Companies are registered with the CRO. The company name, number and registered office must appear on letters, order forms and your website. Sole traders leave these fields empty.

What does “Registered business name” mean?

If you trade under a name that is not your own name (or your company's exact name), you must register it as a business name with the CRO. The registration number goes on your business letters.

What does “Eircode” mean?

Every Irish address has a 7-character postcode, such as H91 X2Y3. It helps letters and deliveries arrive. You can look up any Eircode at eircode.ie.
